Since January 2019, Alex Luzarraga is the Head of Travel Audience & Destinations, focusing on new technologies for digital marketing and data monetization for the travel industry.
He oversees Amadeus’s advertising assets and strategy, leveraging digital data and innovations to the benefit of customers and supporting them as they embrace the industry’s continued digital transformation.
He has been Vice President, Corporate Strategy of Amadeus from September 2011 until December 2018 and a member of the Executive Committee.
His professional career started in Novartis (Paris). Between 2006 and 2011, Alex participated in a number of different start-up ventures. He directly collaborated to the expansion of the Hospitality business in PortAventura and rejoined Amadeus in September 2011.
Alex holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from ESADE. He also graduated in Economics and Actuarial sciences in the University of Barcelona, and has been an associate professor of statistics in the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a Spanish native and speaks English and French.
