Biography
Alice Chapple is an economist and a specialist in impact investment and impact assessment. She established Impact Value in 2012, a consultancy that helps companies and investors to develop their strategy for creating a positive impact on society, to measure that impact, and to learn what works. Before establishing Impact Value, Alice worked as Director of Sustainable Financial Markets at Forum for the Future. She worked on projects exploring the scope for innovative financial instruments, more effective valuation techniques, better risk assessment, and longer-term investment strategies. Prior to Forum for the Future, she worked for many years at UK development finance institution CDC as financial analyst, fund manager and social and environmental advisor. Alice is a Trustee of the Shell Foundation, a Director of the Carbon Tracker Initiative, and Independent Chair of the Technical Assistance Committee at CDC.
