Biography

Dale Sandberg is the Managing Executive for Health and Social Innovation at Mezzanine, a digital services company, and subsidiary of Vodacom. In this role she is responsible for digital transformation projects across the African continent.

Mezzanine has implemented projects across seven African countries since 2011, bringing together public, private and not-for-profit implementation partners to deliver impact in health, education, agriculture and social services. These projects have created value for an estimated 65million lives by transforming public service delivery, and stimulating small businesses.

As a Health Economist and Deputy Director within the public sector Dale previously supported the South African Department of Health in implementing a governance model for managing multiple, large donor funded programmes. This project improved local government ownership and leadership, increased impact and reduced fragmentation. She also developed business cases for a number of these donor funded initiates, enabling local government to mobilse resources and successfully transition to local , sustainable funding models.

As the M.E. for Health and Social Innovation at Mezzanine, Dale is committed to finding innovative technology-enabled solutions that meet business objectives, and deliver sustainable social impact.
