Biography
Hannah Schiff is Director of Impact on the Responsible Investing team at Nuveen, the asset management business of TIAA. In this role, she leads efforts to pursue, measure, and manage positive social and environmental impact from investments across asset classes. Hannah is currently developing a strategy to gather and analyze impact data from new sources at scale. Prior to joining Nuveen in 2018, Hannah managed research at the Global Impact Investing Network, where her publications included the Roadmap for the Future of Impact Investing: Reshaping Financial Markets, several Annual Impact Investor Surveys, Lasting Impact: The Need for Responsible Exits, and The Business Value of Impact Measurement. Hannah has worked in more than 15 countries to drive broad-based economic development and alleviate poverty through the private sector. Hannah earned a master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she specialized in International Business Relations and Development Economics. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in International Relations.
